The quality of ADTECH Systems’ audio work starts with the quality of our engineers and technicians.
Because ADTECH Systems is known as one of the best places to work in the AV industry, we’re able to attract and retain some of the industry’s best talent.
Our audio engineering expertise is second to none. Our core audio technicians have been with us for more than ten years. Our senior audio designers came to us with over ten years with a well-known loudspeaker and audio electronics manufacturer.
With this staff, we have developed our reputation as a leader in solving complex audio problems, including the design, installation and commissioning of sound systems for performing arts centers, convention centers, stadiums, historic churches and other demanding venues.
Among our best known audio systems are the Hynes Auditorium in Boston, with its capacity of up to 4,000 audience members, and the 3500-seat Hanover Theater for the Performing Arts in Worcester, MA. We also do a great deal of work in university performing arts centers, college and school auditoriums, houses of worship, as well as corporate conference centers, hotels and athletic facilities.
The quality of the audio is extremely important to the success of any audio visual system. ADTECH Systems excels at professional audio systems of all sizes and scopes.
Design tools. ADTECH sound system designers are certified in state-of-the-art acoustic modeling and auralization tools, which remove the guesswork from system design. We use Bose Modeler® to create complex system designs in a virtual environment that takes the room’s geometry and acoustics into account. Once we have optimized a system design, our customers can listen to a virtual-reality model of the proposed system from any location within their room via the Bose Auditioner® audio demonstrator.
Speech intelligibility. Achieving high intelligibility shouldn’t be left to chance, since spoken communications are critical in sound systems that educate, entertain or warns of an emergency. Our engineers will often take a non-traditional approach, such as the use of smaller line arrays or bass steering array technology that can dramatically improve intelligibility and clarity even in the most acoustically hostile environments. If your space suffers from issues such as excessive reverberation or strong reflections (echoes), we may include acoustic absorption or diffusion in our solution. Acoustically challenging spaces are our specialty.
Musicality. Public expectations today are higher than ever, and users will wonder why their conference room, house of worship or school auditorium or gymnasium doesn’t have the fidelity they’re used to with their home and car stereos. Of course these spaces can sound superb. ADTECH designers take pride in designing innovative systems that exceed the sonic expectations of the modern listener.
Ease of use. The most breathtaking sound systems are of little use if they are too complicated for the intended user to understand and operate. ADTECH engineers will give you as much or as little control as you require. Without sacrificing quality, we can make a state-of-the-art sound system approachable and simple to use.
Commissioning. Any company can sell the components of a quality sound system. Many can interconnect those components. But few are able to take the final step and properly commission or tune the finished system to bring out its best sound.
Many of the engineers and technicians at ADTECH are performing musicians who have a recording background. They will use computer tools such as FFT analysis, real-time analysis, and many other technologies to optimize each sound system. But then, at the end of the process, they will spend a great deal of time listening to every system to ensure that have achieved natural, musical sound quality.
In an industry full of trial-and-error hobbyists, it makes sense to rely only on the sound engineering principals used by ADTECH Systems. ADTECH engineers have decades of experience designing systems for all sorts of discriminating customers: from 200-seat houses of worship to 25,000-seat NBA and NHL arenas.
