Crestron Control and AMX Control

The controls behind your AV system are crucial to its operation.

A good control system, properly designed and programmed, will streamline AV system operation, combining large numbers of related steps into a few simple, intuitive buttons or screens. It will literally tie your system together, making it easy to use and maintain. Your AV systems will be used more often, helping your staff be more effective and productive.

Of course as AV systems have become more sophisticated, the requirements for control systems have grown as well. The manufacturers have responded by adding more and more useful features and capabilities.

New England based ADTECH Systems provides Crestron control and AMX control system design & installation from offices in Boston, MA, Manchester, CT, Warwick, RI and Rochester, NH

Crestron control screens, for example, can now include Flash objects, simplifying layouts while improving the user interface. Both AMX and Crestron are including a number of “green” network features to minimize power use while increasing security and eliminating many service issues. Crestron Digital Media simplifies the installation of high-definition systems requiring HDMI cabling.

There’s no doubt that these increasingly sophisticated systems require knowledgeable, highly experienced people to engineer, program and install them properly.

System design and programming

ADTECH Systems’ people are among the best in the industry. We have eight programmers on staff factory trained and certified by AMX, Crestron and Extron, and they are certified and experienced in programming the audio and video processors, video conferencing systems and other digital gear that will make up your AV system.

Each of our programmers has more than five years of industry experience. Two are Crestron Certified Master Programmers. Unlike most AV integrators, it’s very rare for ADTECH Systems to outsource to independent programmers. We like to keep every stage of the project in-house, so that we can minimize errors and provide fast, timely service should any issue come up.

Our programming services include:

  • Control system design

  • Touchpanel interface design and layout
  • Programming of Crestron control, AMX control and Extron control systems
  • Setup and programming of other digital signal processors including audio, video and videoconferencing systems
  • System installation
  • On-site testing and commissioning
  • User training
  • Remote monitoring of your AV systems via Crestron RoomView and AMX Meeting Manager
  • On-site service should you have any issue with your new or older systems

It’s important to note that ADTECH clients always own the source code. We are confident that you will be happy with our work and want to use us for future projects. You are always free to use or not use our services without worrying about hidden issues or extra costs.

How we work with you

ADTECH programming services typically begin with the needs analysis prepared by our engineering staff. We will analyze the AV system and its requirements then prepare a series of drawings illustrating possible control schemes.

At that point we will submit those drawings to our client for feedback, usually sitting down together to describe how the system will work and talk about what they like and do not like about our ideas. This is an important step because the control screens not only have to fit the AV system, but the priorities and working style of the various people who will use the room.

We will normally program the entire system before the equipment is installed, but then go on site to upload and fine-tune our code. We like to have the client involved with the tuning and testing process, and we will make changes based on their feedback.

We always conclude a system installation with staff training. For more complex systems our programmers will typically lead two four-hour training sessions, the first for end users and technical staff; the second strictly for technical people who will support the new system.

Recent projects for ADTECH programmers include the MIT Sloan School of Management, the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, the Yale New Haven Hospital, the CVS Caremark headquarters and a large audio processing project at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston.

We would love to help you with your next AV system.
