Structural analysis and advanced material testing

In the past two decades, AdTech Systems Research, Inc. has contributed to a number of significant improvements both in understanding and in modeling of composite materials, joints and structures. Adtech has continuously associated itself with technologically pacing research programs aimed at developing various analytical methods for structural modeling of laminated composites, experimental validation of these models as well as design and development of unique mechanical testing methods.

Structural Analysis
- Analysis of bolted / bonded joints
  - Recent completion of SBIR Phase II activity involving the development of user-friendly computer package for Bolted / Bonded joint
- Micromechanical modeling
  - An Air-Force contract on the 3-D strength prediction of advanced composite materials involving development of innovative micro mechanics methods and new analytical techniques for stress analysis and strength prediction
- Software applications
Advanced Material Testing

High strain rate effects
High cycle fatigue with multiaxial test system
- Recent completion of SBIR Phase II project dealing with design, development and manufacture of a multidirectional test system with high cycle fatigue capabilities. The new system has been installed in Air Force Research Laboratory Propulsion Directorate
Testing of cohesively bonded joints
- Completion of STTR Phase II project funded by Air Force Office of Scientific Research in partnership with New York Polytechnic on Dielectic Relaxation Spectroscopy (DRS) of adhesively bonded joints
Testing of metal matrix composites
Creep Testing
