Preventative
Maintenance

Projectors, like cars, need periodic maintenance if they are to live a long productive life.

How can you tell if your projector needs cleaning? Project a light, bright, image (some projectors will have a menu option to project a test screen) and move the focus control through its full range of motion. If you see dark fuzzy spots come in and out of focus that are obviously not part of the image you are projecting, you have dust on the optics. The optical surfaces in projectors are physically very small and even a few spots of dust can significantly reduce light output.

Let our certified technicians perform the following Preventative Maintenance on your projector:

  • Thorough cleaning of all optical parts
  • Cleaning of LCD, DMD, or LCoS, panels
  • Cleaning or replacement of air filter
  • Alignment of optical engine with optics (if possible)
  • Inspection and testing of fan motors performance
  • Confirm convergence of LCD or LCoS panels (if possible)
  • Verification of color performance
  • Testing of all inputs and key functions
  • Focus on zoom lens testing
* During the course of the inspection ADTECH may find that the projector is in need of repair beyond the scope of Preventative Maintenance. In such cases, ADTECH will do an estimate of repair that will require customer approval to proceed. Out of warranty repair estimates will include parts and labor.
